Liberty Car Tours offers a unique experience for the discerning traveller; car tours of the Great West Way and beyond, with an English gentleman as your host and guide. Mike Lane, your host, has extensive knowledge of the west of England and will tailor a bespoke day for you. Tours can include luncheon bookings and afternoon tea, and Mike will take you around attractions if you prefer.
Attractions include tours of the beautiful Cotswold villages, a day touring the historic sites in Bath, Wells with its glorious cathedral and Bishop’s Palace, The ancient monuments of Wiltshire, Stonehenge and Avebury, where you’ll find a delightful pub in the middle of the vast stone circle, or scenic Shaftesbury and the magnificent cathedral at Salisbury. With so many possibilities, why not speak to Mike who will be happy to suggest an itinerary.
Your tour will be in a comfortable Mercedes E class estate car and you’ll find sweets, water, umbrellas, travel blankets, a spare walking stick, a seat ‘turntable’ and information on your chosen venues in the car. You can ask for newspapers, hot and cold drinks, snacks and a picnic if you desire. The car has plenty of room for three passengers but can accommodate a fourth in the middle of the rear seat with slightly less room for the other rear passengers.
Liberty Car Tours is proud to offer an accessible service, with space in the trunk for a collapsible wheelchair or mobility scooter, but unfortunately, we don’t have a vehicle with a wheelchair lift at the moment. Mike is experienced in making days out easy and comfortable for people with mobility issues and other disabilities.
Liberty Car Tours is a member of Visit Bath, the Event Organisers Network and is an Ambassador for the Great West Way tourist route.
