About

The Crown & Anchor is a charming country Inn, set at the foot of the North Wessex Downs in the picturesque village of Ham, Wiltshire.  Being part of an agricultural community, the pub looks to support British farmers and local artisan producers, celebrating traditional British cooking with a contemporary twist.

As a free house we offer our own local Ham 1840 Bitter from local Penton Park Brewery, alongside a range of other real ales and a selection of lagers and cider, with an extensive and competitively priced wine list.

Whether sipping a pint in the cosy wooden panelled bar by the fire, or drinking chilled wines in the restaurant, or even outside enjoying the sun on the garden terrace. The Crown and Anchor has a very welcoming atmosphere.

Dating back to 1840 the inn has been meticulously re-decorated with every corner holding hand-picked antiques, artworks and local memorabilia.

Ideally located for those wanting a weekend break, the 8 individually designed bedrooms named after local farms, were created with the greatest comfort in mind.  Each with an en-suite bathroom, the rooms are a subtle mixture of antiques and modern amenities, with stylish high headboards, that gives an elegance to create a tranquil and relaxing stay.

Whilst the restaurant seats 50 a private dining area has been created to cater for more intimate gatherings with family, friends and colleagues.

Those looking to put their feet up and enjoy the quiet of village life or explore the local walks from the front door of the Crown and Anchor, refreshed with delicious food and drink and a comfortable night’s sleep.
