Sometimes the best things are hidden and have to be sought out. That's certainly true of some of the beautiful gardens hidden behind Bath's private houses and hotels. Behind the honey-coloured stone facades lie gems displaying innovative design, creative planting, hard work and passion. The gardens are diverse - large or small, formal or unstructured, edible or ornamental - each one reflecting the character of its creator. THE HIDDEN GARDENS OF BATH seeks not just to provide you with a visit but with an experience. Each garden has a story to tell and as you journey through the gardens you will find yourself becoming part of the story - a vista to admire, a shaded arbour to sit under and dream, a bench to rest, a riot of colour to excite, a bubbling fountain to sooth - each feature can draw you into the garden's story and allow your own story to unfold. As your tour guide I hope the gardens will not only inspire you but encourage you to dream a little.

On offer are whole day tours (to include coffee/biscuits and a home-cooked 2 course lunch), half day tours (to include either a cream tea with home-baked scones and West Country clotted cream or NEW THIS YEAR a full afternoon tea with crustless sandwiches, home-made scones, West Country clotted cream and mouth-watering home-made cakes), and bespoke tours arranged on a date and time to suit. Themed weekends include ‘Sculpture to Enhance a Garden’ and ‘In Celebration of the Arts’.  Details of all these Including prices and how to book can be found on the web-site: www.thehiddengardensofbath.co.uk or by phoning 07793085267

Bespoke tours are tailor-made for couples, small and large groups up to 30.
