The team of archaeologists returns to Prior Park this year to continue uncovering the Basin of Water.
In 2023, the team discovered the wall of the Basin and what is thought to be the start of a cascade dating back to the 18th century. This year, they will be digging in the Pasture again and plan to uncover more of the cascade along with the viewing platform of the Basin.
From Monday to Friday, visitors can see the dig in progress and chat with the archaeologists as they work.
There is also a guided walk (pre-booking only) for those wanting to learn more about archaeology at Prior Park.
