Local Marinas on the Great West Way

One of the Great West Way’s many charms is that it can be entirely navigated on water, via the River Thames and the Kennet & Avon Canal. Take a look at our suggested itineraries to see how you can incorportate getting on the water into your journey.

Whether you’re new to boating or an old hand, you’ll need to know where the necessary marinas are so you can find small boats to rent (or even buy), scenic moorings and also pick up supplies. They’re also a lovely relaxing place to spend the day, even if you don’t have any intention of messing about on boats!
