Marlborough is located in an AONB, with a buzzing high street full of independent shops and various restaurants, cafes, pubs and tea rooms. Year round, there is a lively calendar of events and visitor attractions include The Merchant’s House, history walks and tower tours up St Peter’s church tower offering great views (including a secret peak into the well known College where Merlin’s bones are said to be buried). This year a new boutique cinema is set to open in September and our very own white horse of Wiltshire has just been cleaned up.
Marlborough has Coach Friendly Status - awarded in June 2021.
In the George Lane car park there is a new visitor information point and space for three large coaches and one minibus to park. There are also up to the minute driver and passenger facilities.
