Come journey through Europe with Swindon's "Eurovision Dance Extravaganza" and help to create the opportunity for Ukrainian refugees and local dancers to perform together.
The show features three generations: excited children adult enthusiasts, local ex-professional dancers (hip replacements and all!), and also a couple of professional Ukrainian national folk dance artists!
Hear about the social background of dances such as Ukrainian Cossack and Courtship, Georgian Drumming and Ancient Sun Worship Dance, Bavarian Schuhplattler, Traditional Irish Dance, English Sailors and Clog Dance Work Movements, as well as Italo-Disco and modern interpretations of Can-Can, Greek and Balkan Dance to 'Electro Folk' club tracks! You'll soon be itching to get up and dance yourself, and who knows? You might just get the chance.
By supporting this colourful event you'll be fundraising to help Ukrainian civilian war refugees, locally and abroad.
