This small exhibition celebrates Martin Froy's 1960s abstract paintings and works on paper. These intense, colourful paintings are an excellent introduction to the work of this important artist, and show his contribution the development of abstract art in Britain.

Martin Froy passed away in 2017, following a long career as an artist and teacher. He served as Head of Art at the Bath Academy of Art, Head of Painting at Chelsea School of Art and Professor of Fine Art at the University of Reading. Examples of Froy's work can be found in a number of public and private collections, including the Tate Gallery, the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Arts Council of Great Britain.

This exhibition has been supported by the Froy family.
