About

This Halloween half-term, visit Cheddar Gorge and Caves for The Ghost of Cheddar Man festivities.

Cheddar Man, Britain's oldest complete skeleton (he's very old.... 10,000 years!) was found here in Gough's Cave, 120 years ago. To celebrate this anniversary, Cheddar Gorge and Caves are hosting a special Halloween event.

To get an invite you must join the trail and track down Cheddar Mans' friends dotted around Gough’s Cave. Once you’ve spotted them all, you’ll gain entry to The Ghost of Cheddar Man celebrations. There's even a reward to take home with you!

This Halloween experience is included in the price of your Day Ticket, so you can enjoy our spooky activities around Gough’s Cave while enjoying all six spectacular attractions, including Dreamhunters at Cox’s Cave, Beyond the View, Jacob's Ladder, the Cliff-top Walk and the Museum of Prehistory.
