Westonbirt Arboretum

About

Follow a trail through Silk Wood, enjoying a winter 'sound hunt' by listening for the wind blowing through the treetops, the birds singing and your footsteps crunching on leaves.

Feel connected with nature by looking for winter's natural treasures to create a winter charm. Learn about the science of winter and trees and find out how some animals keep cosy in the woodland.

Can you build a tower using pinecones?

Take a new journey around the arboretum and explore winter's wonders!

Including 'Charcoal Creations', 14 - 16 February, half-term activity:
Head to the Learning Centre with the children, to create their very own charcoal drawing inspired by nature's wonders of winter gathered from the arboretum.

Suitable for families and children, 5yrs and over.

Free after paying admission to the arboretum.

Dogs are allowed in Silk Wood but are not allowed in the Old Arboretum.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for walking.
