A series of cow sheds on the Englefield estate have now formed an incredible space. At our Englefield shop you will find a Delicatessen, Butchery, florist, café and a well-stocked shop full of variety and where possible we stock local, seasonal and of course British products. When in season you will find our own homegrown produce available, from our Farm in Hungerford.
We work closely with a large number of individual local producers to offer customers a whole host of products including luxury dairy ice cream, fresh baked bread, honey, preserves and chutneys, cheese, milk, flour, eggs, cereals, tea, smoked fish and meats, juices and biscuits. And let’s not forget our home-grown award winning English sparkling wine- Alder Ridge.
Our fully licensed café is the perfect place to meet with friends and family. We serve breakfast, lunch and afternoon teas plus everything in between including a delicious range of homemade cakes and our own Cobbs farm espresso coffee. When in season our own grown produce features throughout our menu; and we use as many local products as possible which you can also buy from our shop.
Inside and outside dining is available at our café to cater for all the seasons; your four-legged friends are very welcome to join us on our terrace too.
The core focus on our traditional butchery counter is quality. We look to source our meat from local farms, whose standards of welfare and attention to detail match our own exacting standards.
We take an active interest in the farming techniques being used, as well as ensuring welfare standards are kept high for all stages of the animal’s life – from grazing on the lush pastures of grass to the Dry Aged conditioning methods we employ to care for the meat once slaughtered.
Our beef and lamb is sourced from local Hampshire and Berkshire farms, whilst our free-range pork comes from Sussex. We stock a variety of free-range chicken and farmed freedom food standards chicken breasts as well. You will also find local game on our counter during game season.
Throughout the year we hold a number of events at Englefield some for the children and also some for the adults as well!
