The Newbury is an imposing grade II listed gastropub in the centre of Newbury. Formerly the Bricklayers Arms, this 19th-century Newbury pub was renovated by licensee Pete Lumber. Today it is a multi-award winning gastro pub which prides itself on its exciting British a la carte menu, a great selection of ales, extensive wine list & fabulous service. Offering a private dining experience or exclusive hire that can cater for groups of 10 to 200 people to suit every taste and budget, from simple coffee mornings to large celebration dinners.

The roof terrace with its own bar is a sun trap in the summer where guests can enjoy cocktails and pizza from the pizza oven. The retractable awning and heating give it a real cosy feel in the winter too. Throughout The Newbury you will see Pete’s influences. From the paintings to the hand-crafted artwork on the wall and the quirky decorations.

The Newbury, offers quirky decor, superb food and an unforgettable experience to ensure any event is one to remember. Guests are encouraged to stay and enjoy their time at The Newbury. Whether that’s for a drink, a meal or catch-up with friends.
