About

We offer bespoke self-guided walking holidays in the south of England.

How does it work? You walk a waymarked trail stopping at inns along the way. Walks can be from 3 days to 3 weeks We book all the accommodation and provide you with a map and a guidebook. We also move your luggage between accommodations so that you can walk free from a heavy load.

Our current walks include the Thames Path, The Ridgeway, the Kennet and Avon Canal walk, the Chiltern Way (South), the St James’ Way from Reading to Southampton and, new for 2026, the Great West Way Walk between London and Bristol.

Our Thames Path walk operates under the brand name of Walk the Thames.

What sets us apart from other walking holiday companies?

1. We only offer walks that are local to us. We are based in Purley-on-Thames, just outside Reading, half-way along the Great West Way, close to the crossroads of the Thames Path and The Ridgeway, and the start of the Kennet and Avon Canal and the St James’ Way. We know the area and have walked all our routes.

2. We remain in close contact with you throughout your walk. We are in touch daily either by text or whatsapp. Usually, you will get to meet us sometime during your walk

3. We do not outsource bag transfers to taxi firms. We move your luggage so that we are in touch with both you and the accommodations.

4. Although we have some suggested itineraries, you are not confined to any of these. Our longer walks (Thames Path and Ridgeway) use our innovative route planners where you can plan your own route: choose where to stay, how long to walk, and in which direction. We can also create custom itineraries.

The price of our packages vary depending on the number of days and the grade of accommodation chosen.
