About

At Dukes|Bath we offer our guests the chance to stay at one of Bath’s most prestigious street addresses. This beautiful, boutique, guest house stands on Great Pulteney Street, one of the finest boulevards in the Heritage City.

Whether it is the high ceilings, sash windows or hand crafted Sanitan bathroom suites, each of our rooms uniquely reflects an era of craftsmanship, Georgian elegance and charm. We provide accommodation in relaxed and comfortable surroundings and our 17 guest rooms include a choice of Snug Doubles, Standard Doubles, Superior Doubles, Deluxe Doubles (spacious suites) or sumptuous Four Poster rooms.

Dukes|Bath has an enviable location with all the main attractions on your doorstep. Whether you want to relax and unwind at the Thermae Spa, investigate the Roman Baths, see a show at the spectacular Theatre Royal, explore the plethora of museums and galleries, or marvel at the impressive bath architecture - our guests are spoilt for choice.

We believe in going that extra mile, so if you have any particular requests in advance of your stay, our team will do all we can to accommodate them. We aim to ensure your stay at Dukes|Bath is a truly memorable one.

Snug Double Room: Tucked beneath the Georgian mansard roof and accessed via six flights of stairs, these ‘cosy’ bedrooms offer, three-sided bed access, writing table, storage and a chair with en-suite shower facilities. The rooms offer restricted views of ‘Mary Poppins’ chimney pots. With access to all guest house facilities these rooms are ideal for one person or a happy, relaxed couple. Please note, that given to our Grade 1 listed status, there is no lift in the building.

Standard Double Room: Comfortably proportioned, with large sashed windows, we have three, well appointed standards double rooms on offer. All three rooms have the convenience of an en-suite shower with the Abercorn on the ground floor offering greatest accessibility (suitable for guests with limited mobility).

Superior Double Room: These more generously proportioned rooms offer greater comfort with the addition of armchairs and writing desks. Whether it be for Valentines or a mid-week treat, these rooms rarely disappoint.

Deluxe Double Suite: Spacious and beautifully appointed, these rooms contain a King or Super-King bed and an adjoining separate lounge. The Deluxe Double suites have views across Great Pulteney Street. These rooms suit those celebrating a special birthday or anniversary, or those simply looking to treat themselves.

Four poster rooms: These rooms, at over 300 square feet are truly generous in their proportion. Each contains a four-poster bed and exudes a classical Georgian elegance.

Please note - whilst our floorboards may creak, and our sash windows may rattle, we guarantee you a very hospitable welcome. With natural, unforced service we wish to encourage a memorable stay in one of the most elegant and historically pleasing private guest houses in Bath. We treasure your visit and our dedicated and professional team look forward to welcoming you to Dukes|Bath soon.
