Due to ongoing problems with the available water situation for the Kennet and Avon Canal there will be restricted steaming on Sunday 28 and Bank Holiday Monday 29 August 2022. (Crofton is open on Saturday 27 August 2022, but not in steam). Last entry to the site and station will be at 15:00.  Please check with the Crofton website for updates about the September steaming. Advance booking is recommended.

Our amazing volunteers plan to light the boiler and steam the engines on

Saturday 30 & Sunday 31 July 2022
Sunday 28 & Bank Holiday Monday 29 August 2022
Saturday 24 & Sunday 25 September 2022 (last opening day of the season).

No refreshments available to purchase on site. Picnics welcome. Picnic area not under cover!
Entry to the site is by the main gate only (opposite the car park). There is no access from the canal tow-path. That gate is locked.
Crofton is open on Saturdays and Sundays and Bank Holiday Monday, until Sunday 25 September 2022 with steaming days as above.

Advance booking for steaming days is recommended. Entry to the site on steaming days £10.75/Children under 16 FREE. Discounts for Kennet & Avon Canal Trust members/National Art Pass holders.

Open at weekends throughout the summer. Site entry free on non-steaming days. Admission charge to see the engines on non-steaming days, Adults £5. Children under 16/Kennet & Avon Canal Trust members FREE

Lots of space for picnics in the grounds
No refreshments available to purchase on site. Access by the main gate only. No access from canal tow-path.
