Set in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside just 10 minutes from Stonehenge, Cholderton Rare Breeds Farm is an RBST (Rare Breeds Survival Trust) registered farm attraction offering a fun, hands on day out for all ages.
Meet a wonderful mix of friendly animals, including rare breed sheep, Highland cows, pigs, goats, ponies, donkeys, alpacas, rabbits, guinea pigs, peacocks, chickens, ducks, geese and more. Many of the animals can be fed and interacted with, making it a fantastic experience for families, animal lovers and curious little explorers alike.
Throughout the day, guests can enjoy a variety of animal activities and encounters, giving plenty of opportunities to get up close to the animals and chat to the knowledgeable farm team. From guinea pig and Highland cow fishing to animal feeding sessions, pig or lamb races and seasonal activities, there’s always something happening. For an extra special experience, book one of the farm’s popular alpaca, donkey, goat or miniature pony walks through the beautiful farm, woodland and vineyard surroundings.
Beyond the animals, there’s plenty of play areas to enjoy too, including indoor soft play, climbing frames, trampolines, nature walks, sandpit and zip line, making it easy to spend a full day exploring.
Why not turn your visit into a farm stay? Stay onsite at Stonehenge Farmhouse, the farm’s relaxed countryside accommodation, perfect for families, groups and short breaks near Stonehenge. Guests can enjoy the unique experience of staying right on the farm, with animals, vineyards and open countryside all on the doorstep.
Conveniently located onsite, the café serves delicious food, drinks and handmade cakes throughout the day, while the farm shop is packed with gifts, toys, local produce and artisan treats to browse before heading home.
