Sunninghill & Ascot Parish Council Platinum Jubilee Party in the Park

Victory Field, Ascot, Berkshire, SL5 7AZ
Jubilee Party in the Park - Ascot & Sunninghill

About

Every other year Sunninghill & Ascot Parish Council hold a ‘Party in the Park’ at Victory Field in Sunninghill, but this year we are delighted to be hosting an extra special Platinum Party in the Park as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations taking place all over the country.

The event will begin at 4.30pm with live music from various groups being performed on the specially erected open-air stage, as part of the line up of entertainment, we are delighted to be welcoming back Groove Republic, who have been so very popular with the audience when they performed at our previous Party in the Park events.

There will be food stalls, a beer and Pimms tent, ice cream stall, fairground rides and fun for all the family. Bring your own picnic, chairs and rugs and soak up the party atmosphere throughout the evening.

To celebrate Her Majesty the Queen reaching the unprecedented achievement of 70 years on the throne, at 9.45pm the main event will begin with the lighting of the official jubilee beacon, this will coincide with the lighting of beacons all over the country that evening. Once the beacon is lit, a specially formed community choir will lead the singing in a Proms style finale for a  rousing finish to the evening.

Free disabled parking will be available onsite.  A park and ride service is available from Ascot Racecourse’s Car Park 10, which will take you directly to Victory Field.  Other parking is also available at St Michael’s Church, Sunninghill.

You are welcome to bring your own seating and rug and as it will be getting dark towards to end of he evening, we also advise you to bring torches with you to aid the journey home.
