About

Aerospace Bristol is a new family attraction that tells the amazing story of Bristol’s world-class aerospace industry and gives you the chance to step aboard the last Concorde ever to fly.

With Concorde as its show-stopping centrepiece, Aerospace Bristol will take you on a fascinating journey through time. From the earliest days of powered flight - when Boxkite biplanes flew over Bristol’s Clifton Suspension Bridge - your journey will take you through two World Wars, the drama and technological advances of the space race, and on to the modern day, where you will discover the latest technologies of today’s aerospace industry.

As you embark upon your flight through history – whether self-guided or accompanied by one of our expert tour guides - you will discover aeroplanes, helicopters, missiles, engines and space technology, get hands-on with interactive exhibits, and explore an inspirational story of ingenious design, engineering innovation and remarkable social history.

Of course, the highlight of your visit will be the iconic Concorde. Capable of crossing the Atlantic in under three hours, Concorde cruised at over twice the speed of sound and reached an altitude of 60,000ft. Her passengers would marvel at the curvature of the Earth, as they travelled at 1320mph and sipped Champagne on the edge of space.

Don’t miss your chance to step aboard the last Concorde ever to fly; stunningly displayed in her own purpose-built hangar - on the airfield where she was designed, built and tested – and complete with a breath-taking projection show displayed on the famous fuselage of the supersonic jet.
