About

Gramophone's Young Artist of the Year gives his debut recital at WMC

RAMEAU Gavotte and Variations in A minor
BEETHOVEN Piano Sonata No 4 Op 7
LISZT Berceuse
LISZT Piano Sonata in B minor

British pianist Benjamin Grosvenor is internationally recognised for his electrifying performances, distinctive sound and insightful interpretations. His command over the most arduous technical complexities underpins the remarkable depth and understanding of his music making.

In this century-spanning recital Benjamin contrasts Beethoven's lyrical early period sonata with one of Liszt's most dramatic works for an evening of musical poetry and unbridled virtuosity.
