Markets will run throughout the day and the parade starts early evning – times will be posted here nearer the date.

Attracting crowds of over to 3,500 and celebrating the start of the festive season, Devizes boasts one of the region’s most spectacular lantern processions. A river of hundreds of beautiful creations, made by our talented local participants wind its way through and around the town on a new route to help reduce crowding.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Lantern Parade attracts huge crowds with approximately 3500 people attending each year event,

It is the culmination of lots of work done by busy young people and families who create fantastic lanterns to illuminate the streets.
