About

There's a certain kind of magic that descends on Devizes for the annual Lantern Parade held in and through the streets of the town centre. It's a special coming together of local schoolchildren, community groups and people of the town bearing beautiful handheld lanterns along with magnificent large-scale illuminated sculptures set to the beat of promenading bands and musicians. There will be other worldly performances from Ghost Caribou and Air Giants, rounded up with fireworks at 7.00pm

The theme for this year's event is 'Fantastical Creatures'. For details of the route and for accessibility information please see DOCA website. If you'd like to bring your own handheld lantern and join in, you're welcome, or do fancy dress with lights, decorate an umbrella, push chair, wheelchair, or bike we'd love to have you with us!
Held in partnership with Devizes Town Council.
