Learn to make some traditional Greek dishes and also make best use of a wood fired oven. Got a pizza oven in your garden or thinking about getting one? This session will help you think beyond just cooking the obvious in it. Don't have the facility to cook over wood? No problem, all the dishes can also be cooked using a conventional domestic oven but will still help you create the feeling of being in Greece in your home! It is vegetarian and can be made suitable for vegans.
This will give you some lovely ideas for creating authentic tasting Greek dishes and also help you understand more about cooking with wood.
On the menu:
- authentic Greek pitta breads
- Ladenia - the Greek version of pizza (without the cheese!)
- burnt pepper piperade
- Tirokafteri - feta cheese dip
