About

Celebrating the launch of their debut album Origins, Hippo Sound System bring their explosive live show with some extra special guests!

Lead by DJ Hiphoppapotamus, they explore new fusions of world music with sound system culture with a particular love of Afro-Latin percussive rhythms and heavy bass music such as Jungle, House, Dub and D&B!

Regulars on the festival circuit across the UK since 2018 they have played most major festivals from Glastonbury to Boomtown. And they're unique, explorative productions have been featured on BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra & Radio 6 by Jeremiah Asiamiah, Craig Charles and Don Letts!
