The best in improvised comedy - welcome to an evening of songs, gags, and general silliness – all of it based on audience suggestions. Would you like to hear a very silly folk song about a set of wooden dentures? Or maybe watch a scene set in 10 Downing Street – but where the actors only have a set number of words every time they speak? But don't worry, nobody is forced to participate and we even build in a section where anonymous suggestions, written down in the interval, can be acted out. Good suggestions receive flying packets of custard; the best of the evening gets a bottle of wine!
Many people have seen improvised comedy on TV but remember, this is not recorded and edited, but totally live! If you like your comedy fast-paced and with a slightly unusual edge, this is definitely for you!
Instant Wit use some of the best local talent and the team this time round will include local panto legend Jon Monie (Aladdin Theatre Royal Bath), Peta Maurice (Five Children and It Theatre Royal Bath), Leah Fletcher (Is That A Bolt in Your Neck? Theatre Royal Plymouth & tour) and musician Knud Stuwe (Chai for All and Nabra).
