Kingswood 275 Exhibition

About

2023 marks the 275th anniversary of Kingswood School in Bath, but the origins of the school began with a vision from John Wesley to transform education in Kingswood, Bristol.

We all remember our school days – for better or worse! This summer, John Wesley's New Room will uncover education as it was 275 years ago in Kingswood, Bristol. How does it compare with schooling today?

In this exhibition they'll examine the successes and challenges of setting up a school in the 18th century, and highlight the remarkable stories of inspiring individuals who preserved in learning through immense trial.
