You're invited to make your own unique macramé dress out of recycled cotton in the colour and length of your choice.
Macramé is a creative and relaxing craft, which is also a great way of relieving stress. Your tutor, Aggy from Knots and Stalks, will teach you how to measure and knot your own beautiful string dress which you can enjoy throughout summer holidays or at various events.
This workshop is beginner friendly, but it is suggested that you attend one of the half day macramé workshops beforehand, such as macramé earrings or plant hangers to learn and perfect the basic knots, so that you are more confident when you approach your dress.
You can expect:
- Guidance on how to create measurements and the knots on a mannequin
- Tips and inspiration for designs
- Materials are NOT provided, you will need to bring 2 rolls of yarn with you of your chosen colours (200m). Head over to www.bobbinycords.co.uk and select two rolls of the braided junior 3m cord (200 meters total). Use a code AGGY10 at the checkout for a 10% discount.
- Lovely hot drinks and snacks to help you on the way - Bring your own lunch or pop out to grab something from nearby eateries
This workshop is a great opportunity to learn a relaxing and creative new hobby. Come along and make the perfect new wardrobe piece which you can wear with pride this summer.
