About

Experience vivid displays of daily life in a medieval military camp as living history group The Company of Chivalry portray life in the 14th century when Winterbourne Barn was built.

Wander around the medieval encampment with authentic tents and fire pit, talk to folk going about their daily tasks, and discover how people lived, worked and fought whilst on campaign during the Hundred Years' War.

There will be a full programme of varied activities throughout the day including talks and demonstrations about different aspects of medieval life, live music, a wide range of artisan craft stalls, activities for children including hands-on craft and dressing-up, plus plenty of quality food and drink stalls. A perfect family day out at this unique heritage site which dates from 1342.

Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome. Dogs remain the responsibility of the owner within the grounds of the Barn. Pay on the gate or pre-book online now to miss the queues.

Free car parking is available at Winterbourne Academy on the High Street (BS36 1JL) with a free shuttle bus running all day. Please note there is NO car parking on-site (except blue badge holders who must reserve a space in advance), or on Church Lane as this obstructs emergency vehicles and the shuttle bus.

There is plenty of bicycle parking on site.

Tickets:
£5 adult, £1 ages 3-16yrs. Under 3s free

Times:
11.00am - 4.00pm
