Be anyone (or anything) you want to be! This course introduces the tools, techniques, and tricks used to create characters on-the-spot in performance.
Physicality, status and relationships between characters are all explored as you build your confidence when stepping into another character's shoes. Expect lots of fun, games, and shared joy along the way!
Performing Improv Level 1 is a programme of four seven-week course, which rotate throughout the year: 'Creating Characters', 'Telling Stories', 'Singing Songs' and 'Making a Scene'. All the courses end with a showcase for invited family and friends to share what you've learned.
Class Details:
This is a 7-week course, capped at 12 participants, plus up to 2 instructors (14 in total). It will take place in the bar space of the Bristol Improv Theatre.
In the final week of the course, you will be invited to perform in a relaxed showcase to a small audience of friends, family and fellow students to share what you have learned.
