Silent films are officially back at The Pound! In partnership with South West Silent, Pound Arts proudly presents a season of comedy classics, including some of the biggest names of the genre.
Catch Harold Lloyd's ground-breaking comedy on the big screen! A boy leaves his small country town and heads to the big city to get a job. As soon as he makes it big his sweetheart will join him and marry him. His enthusiasm to get ahead leads to some interesting adventures.
This screening will be accompanied by a live musical score, performed by BFI Southbank's resident pianist Meg Morley. Since performing for her first silent film in 2016, Meg Morley has quickly become one of the UK's pre-eminent silent film accompanists, performing at various international film festivals and playing regularly at the London Cinema Museum.
