Silent films are officially back at The Pound! In partnership with South West Silent, Pound Arts proudly presents a season of comedy classics, including some of the biggest names of the genre .
Buster Keaton stars in one of the most iconic and instantly recognisable silent comedies of all time. After being rejected by the Confederate military, not realizing it was due to his crucial civilian role, an engineer must single-handedly recapture his beloved locomotive after it is seized by Union spies and return it through enemy lines.
This screening will be accompanied by a live musical score, performed by BFI Southbank's resident pianist Meg Morley. Since performing for her first silent film in 2016, Meg Morley has quickly become one of the UK's pre-eminent silent film accompanists, performing at various international film festivals and playing regularly at the London Cinema Museum.
