About

Timbrell’s Yard is an award-winning foodie pub with super stylish bedrooms by the banks of the winding River Avon. Open all day, every day, it is the best place to eat, drink and stay in Bradford on Avon.

The Grade II listed building combines lovely traditional features with a contemporary design. There is a stylish bar, airy double height restaurant, and a waterside terrace. The food is fabulous. Think modern British foundation enlivened by European, North African, and Middle Eastern panache. Local mile-friendly and fuss free food with a twist. Tuck into the full menu or just enjoy a snack, Timbrell’s Yard has a laid-back dine anywhere ethos. It is family friendly. Dogs are always welcome and can join you in the bar and terrace where the full menu is served and they are welcome overnight (all dogs staying receive their own goody bag).

The 17 unique bedrooms have oodles of charm. Choose from loft suites with a cool contemporary Nordic feel and mezzanine bedrooms with large picture windows and deep window seats that over-look the mellow river. Or opt for the older wing, where rooms have thick heavy beams clad in vintage linen and freestanding cast-iron baths. A patchwork of tiles adorns en-suite bathrooms, with rainfall showers and gorgeous Bramley products.

Timbrell’s Yard is easily accessible without a car. It is a two-minute walk from the train station and a hop-skip and jump away from Bradford on Avon’s big sister Bath - a short drive and 10 minutes on the train. Hire bikes or charter a narrow boat and explore the Kennet and Avon Canal, duck into the mixture of independent shops and cafés, or brush up on history at the Saxon church and tithe barn. Tory is look out point from the very top of town. It’s well worth the climb for the splendid views.
