You don’t want to miss any of the free community events happening in Bradford on Avon to celebrate King Charles III’s coronation!
SATURDAY 6 MAY – VICTORY FIELD – FROM 10AM
Bradford on Avon Town Council will show the Coronation live on a big screen in Victory Field from 10am on Saturday 6 May.
In the evening, the same big screen will transform into an outdoor cinema showing Paddington (from 4pm) and Mamma Mia! (from 6.30pm).
SUNDAY 7 MAY – BARTON FARMYARD – 12 NOON TO 3PM
On Sunday 7 May between 12 noon and 3pm, the Bradford on Avon Preservation Trust is hosting a family fun picnic in Barton Farmyard in front of the Tithe Barn.
There will be tea, coffee and cake for the whole family – all you need to bring is your picnic food.
Children can make crowns and there will be a throne to sit on.
The fantastic Mike Daniels Brass Quintet will also be performing.
SUNDAY 7 MAY – VICTORY FIELD – FROM 7PM
In the evening, we will power up the big screen on Victory Field again to show the Coronation Concert from 7pm.
MONDAY 8 MAY – WESTBURY GARDEN – FROM 10AM
As part of the Big Help Out on Monday 8 May we are holding a volunteer open day in Westbury Garden from 10am until 3pm.
There will be walks and a chance to see and hear about what local volunteer groups do for the community.
Many groups in Bradford on Avon will be attending including Men’s Shed, Community Emergency Volunteers, Dementia Action Alliance, the Nature Volunteers, Mighty Girls, the Tourist Information Centre volunteers, BoA Oxfam and Fairtrade, BoA Friends of Palestine, Community Family Care, Riding for the Disabled, Girl Guides and more.
