Devizes Lock up is beneath the Town Hall and was first opened in its current form in 1806. It was used to imprison troublemakers overnight in the 19th Century.
This Heritage Open Day, experience the rare opportunity to descend beneath the Town Hall into the Lock up and imagine what it would be like to spend the night there. Local historian John Girvan will be hosting visitors. Prepare for a short wait between groups.
