Long-standing WMC favourites Doric String Quartet return for a programme full of passion and intensity. Beethoven's eleventh and twelfth quartets, the first of his legendary 'late quartets', are considered one of the composer's finest musical achievements. At the heart of the programme, Béla Bartók's sixth quartet showcases the composer's trademark creativity and flair, bringing together Eastern European melodies and contemporary styles.
