Silent films are officially back at The Pound! In partnership with South West Silent, Pound Arts proudly presents a season of comedy classics, including some of the biggest names of the genre .
A lesser known but equally influential comedy gem from renowned Tokyo-born director Yasujirô Ozu, in which two young brothers throw a tantrum when they discover that their father isn't the most important man in his workplace.
This screening will be accompanied by a live musical score, performed by BFI Southbank's resident pianist Meg Morley. Since performing for her first silent film in 2016, Meg Morley has quickly become one of the UK's pre-eminent silent film accompanists, performing at various international film festivals and playing regularly at the London Cinema Museum.
This screening has been produced in partnership with South West Silents and Film Hub South West and made possible by generous funding from the BFI Film Aundience Network and The National Lottery.
