Developing a reputation as a highly regarded soloist, young Polish cellist Maciej Kułakowski's recent achievements include winning first prize at the Lutoslawski Competition. Joined by Swiss pianist Jean-Sélim Abdelmoula, Maciej explores a varied programme with a strong French influence throughout. Gabriel Fauré's soaring Sonata No. 1, though originally written for the violin, perfectly suits the rich sound world of the solo cello.
