Join the dynamic Riot Ensemble for an evening of music featuring works that are not as they seem, from the meditative focus of Alvin Lucier's Criss Cross to the spellbinding sonic techniques of James Tenney's Glissade. The ensemble then comes together for a world premiere performance of a newly commissioned work by emerging British composer and electronics performer, Jasmine Morris.
This concert will also feature a showcase of unique graphic score works from young music students in our region. These will be composed in workshops with Riot Ensemble and WMC's Creative Learning team, who share the desire to inspire young creative voices.
