Twert Lush returns for its second year, transforming Twerton High Street into a vibrant, family-friendly festival. Five participating venues will offer accessible creative workshops, craft activities, and a diverse lineup of live music performances, showcasing some of the South West’s finest talent.
Circus skills, live music, Super Pirates and a puppet takeover are some of the carnival arts and creative activities on offer at a free community event in Twerton on 1 September 2024.
Twert Lush is returning to Twerton High Street following its inaugural event last year with an expanded footprint at Bath City Football Club and four other venues.
The event from 11am to 7pm on Sunday, September 1 is an immersive day bringing the fun of Bath Carnival to people who might not have been able to visit the city centre for the main event in July.
There will be free activities and performances for all ages, including the popular Super Pirates play entertainers, live music, a Puppet Place takeover, face painting, dance, arts and crafts and more.
Highlights of the live music lineup are rhythmic samba drumming, a dynamic five-piece jazz-funk band, a traditional kora player and a talented mix of local acts and singer-songwriters.
Food and drink will be available to purchase all day at Bath City Football Club and Rose Cottage Café.
Twert Lush is a joint event by the council and Bath Carnival and is part of a council-led scheme to improve high streets and community spaces in the area, funded by the West of England Combined Authority.
