Join Chippenham Museum for a free guided walk introducing the town's history, from King Alfred and the Saxons to the present day.

This 40 minute exploration of the town is perfect for both residents and visitors. Booking is essential as places are limited, please book a place for all adults and accompanied children attending. Meet at The Buttercross, Market Place.

These walks take place at 2pm on selected Saturdays, and 7pm on selected Thursdays. Why not spend some time exploring Chippenham Museum and our latest exhibition before you begin? On the Thursday dates the museum, also located in the Market Place and free entry, is open until 7pm .

Our Town Walks go ahead in all weathers. If you are unable to attend, please do contact Chippenham Museum at 01249 705020 or heritage@chippenham.gov.uk so we can re-book your place.

This guided walk can be adjusted to suit a variety of access needs. Please do contact us to discuss your access requirements.
