Mara Simpson is a composer and songwriter, based in Stroud.
Through her solo work and collaborations with artists (including Poppy Ackroyd, Alexandra Hamilton-Ayres, Hidden Orchestra, Cerys Matthews), Mara paints a beautifully rich soundscape, setting the scene as she takes her audience on a journey with her, through the beauty of every day to the magic of remarkable.
Her last album, '285 days' was included in Rough Trade's album club. Mara most recently features on the acclaimed 'We Come from the Sun' by Cerys Matthews and Hidden Orchestra.
