Witchmark Distillery is an English distillery in Fonthill Bishop, southwest Wiltshire, set within the 9,000-acre Fonthill Estate. Housed in a Grade II listed barn dating back to the 1600s, with a striking former grain drying barn now serving as its visitor centre and shop, Witchmark combines heritage, contemporary craft and a strong sense of place. The distillery draws on the surrounding chalk downlands, local barley and pure limestone-filtered water to create its spirits, making every visit feel deeply connected to the landscape around it.
Visitors can explore the distillery through behind-the-scenes tours and tastings, where guests can learn more about the whisky-making process and the production of Witchmark’s gin and vodka. For a more hands-on experience, Witchmark Gin School invites guests to create their own bespoke recipe, distil it on a personal copper still and take home a full 70cl bottle with their own label. The distillery also hosts regular cocktail evenings, offering a relaxed way to enjoy signature serves, seasonal drinks and the atmosphere of the distillery bar.
For those looking to be part of the journey for the long term, The Witchmark Club offers a rare opportunity to follow the distillery’s whisky as it matures over time. Members receive bottles across a ten-year whisky journey, alongside early access to limited editions, private tastings, exclusive events and complimentary distillery tours. Whether you’re visiting for a tour, booking a Gin School experience, joining friends for cocktails or becoming part of The Witchmark Club, Witchmark Distillery offers one of Wiltshire’s most distinctive food and drink experiences.
