About

Set in 40 square miles of Wiltshire and Gloucestershire countryside, this unique area known as the Cotswold Water Park has something for everyone – from high speed watersports, fantastic and varied birdwatching, excellent angling, off road cycling, inland beach, peaceful lakeside walks to beautiful Cotswold towns and villages waiting to be explored. More than 150 lakes, formed over the years by gravel extraction have created a watery landscape where you can come for the day, a short break or a family holiday. Why not come and learn a new skill – take some sailing lessons, have a go at cable skiing or paddle a boat with your family? Many of the activity providers offer tuition, taster sessions and courses, with all equipment supplied.

If watersports are not your thing, then just enjoy being surrounded by wonderful wildlife, from orchids, fritillaries, dragonflies, bats and winter waterbirds - with 150km of paths and cycleways to explore the Cotswold Water Park is a great destination all year round. From four star hotels, quiet B&Bs, a huge range of self catering options, and campsites, there is plenty of accommodation to choose from.

With easy access from the M4 and M5, the Cotswold Water Park is within two hours drive of London, Birmingham and Bristol. Call into the Gateway Information Centre (GL7 5TL) – open 7 days a week- to pick up a map and find out more.
